I had such a lovely afternoon on Sunday, as I headed out to the shop for some good old fashion window shopping.
I find beauty a form of mindfulness, and browsing all the rows of rainbow-coloured goodies nestled in the aisles of Debenhams in Clapham (the closest beauty emporium I could find) was such a wonderful few hours of escapism.
The product that caught my eye out of all the ranges that I investigated was this beautiful lip stain by YSL.
I love the consistency – a swathe of pale coral orange (Bain de Corail) to just give the slightest tint to the lips, and as the name suggests it’s almost a water. I swatched a few colours and envied the oranges, pinks and deeper purples.
Even though I cast my eyes over the ranges from MAC, Chanel and Dior, this was the one that stood out for me. I even popped into super-discounter TK Maxx and had a nosey around their sale make-up which included Illamasqua, Milk Make-up, Armani, Too Faced and more for very reasonable prices.
Nothing could take my mind of this lip stain from YSL. Totally gorgeous colours in very attractive packaging and perfect for party season.
