GRIMES owned last year with her third album Visions and whether she’s planning on releasing new material or not this year we still have remixes like this to wrap our ears around.
Four Tet plucked one of Grimes’ more down-tempo tracks, Skin, from her latest LP and adds a quickening rhythm, soft bass and twinkling effects with majestic results.
Taken from his recent set on on RinseFM, Kieran Hebden reveals on his Facebook page that “it’s just some track I made the other day using a loop from her record… no remix going on or anything.” So the experiment wasn’t officially commissioned by Grimes, but we dont care, we love it.
The remix surfaces as Grimes appears as the cover star of the latest issue of Under The Radar Magazine.
