RESULTS are what the LumaFirm treatment at The Peak Health Club & Spa promised; and results are what I received. After my blissful ‘wrap-age’ (a combination of a wrap and massage) my legs were significantly more toned, my skin was soft and I had a radiant glow around me. I love it so much, I’m thinking about going back for a second treatment as the lovely technician told me that results only improve the more treatments that you have. 
The setting of the spa is absolutely lush – just a stone’s throw from Knightsbridge station. It’s at the top of the stunning five star Jumeirah Carlton Tower hotel, and the whole setting is very premium and luxe. After fending off the affections of two eager hotel-staying pensioners in the lift, who were very interested in my journalism career, I made it to the 9th floor where the spa is situated. First of all the views are incredible, and there is a cafe where you sit down, relax and contemplate London life with a bird’s eye view. I was introduced to my technician, who was absolutely wonderful, friendly, chatty and put me totally at ease. She led me to the treatment room where I dis-robed and hid under the towel on the bed.

I got a bit distracted taking some snaps for the feature so when she first came back, I was still fully dressed. After getting a move on and finally being in position under the cloths, I was asked which areas of the body I particularly wanted help with – to which I replied: “Everything between my knees and neck!” The official description of the treatment is: “A Firm & Glow Body Wrap that is guaranteed to firm, brighten and lighten! Enriched with 26 dynamic ingredients including an exclusive combination of anti-ageing extracts, everybody will look youthfully radiant with this deeply repairing, hydrating, smoothing and de-ageing wrap.” The first part of the session involved being slathered with the cream that promises to tighten, brighten and freshen skin.

After this was applied, I was massaged for 20 minutes with a very firm pressure (at my request), and then the wrap followed. The whole treatment was ridiculously relaxing and it not only felt good, it delivered instant results! My legs definitely looked more toned, and smoother and my whole skin felt soft and supple.
