AFTER months of speculation it has finally been announced that songstress Lana Del Rey will be the new face of H&M.
After Mulberry launched this years most wanted bag, the Del Rey, praising Lana’s stylish efforts, it is now the high street fashion house H&M who will have the the singer star in press advertisements and a commercial for the brands Autumn collection, which launches in September. Her director, Johan Renck, has also hinted that she should record a cover of 50′s classic Blue Velvet for the commercial, made available on H&M’s website.
From the latest set of campaign images it’s clear to see we’re not quite ready to let go of those soft, pretty pastels in the coming Autumn months. Lana channels H&M’s outlook on the modern and feminine woman with a soft attitude perfectly displaying knitwear and tweed in powder tones accompanied with big, jewelled, wine red accessories.
Her latest single National Anthem is featured in our July Playlist, watch the video for the single below.
