Joy Williams and her Alabaman musical partner, John Paul White perform blues-infested rock n’ roll which creeps inside your brain and refuses to leave. Soaring vocals slide over gorgeous guitars in their debut UK single, Barton Hollow, below. Divine.
The duo have had huge DIY success in the US, thanks to their undeniable, delectable talent and word-of-mouth, culminating in a No1 spot in the iTunes charts. Ooh la la.
They may infuse flavours of folk, Americana and country, but their sound is firmly rooted in the American South.
