Video: Short Film At First Sight starring Hannah Arterton, shot on Panasonic Lumix

AT First Sight, shot entirely on the new Panasonic Lumix GH3, shows the fate of a couple, starting from the moment they meet at a party, via a series of flash-forwards.

The three-minute film, produced by Rankin, stars Gemma Arterton’s talented sister Hannah as she meets a handsome stranger played by Ashley ‘Bashy’ Thomas.

At First Sight

At First Sight shows how meeting someone new is so weighted with potential.

In those initial lust-fuelled weeks you are consumed by all the fun that you can have, and gloss over all the arguments that you are certain will never happen.

However relationships are never as easy as you hope they will be, as is shown in this three-minute short film, as the couple reach a crossroads and have to face a difficult decision about the future of their romance.

Director David Allain said: “The prospect of making a three-minute film excited me, as I wanted not only to push the film visually, but to also fill every frame with as much emotion and character as it can contain.”

“I want my characters to be full of life – a passion that sparks their initial interest in one another, but is also their undoing. Characters who are creative, funny, but also young, reckless and still learning who they are.”
