Sir David Attenborough to Undergo Emergency Heart Surgery

BROADCASTING legend Sir David Attenborough is to undergo emergency heart surgery today, forcing him to cancel a tour of Australia.

The veteran Natural History presenter, and former controller of BBC2, has been told by doctors that he is in urgent need of a pacemaker.

The telly host, 87, has fronted wildlife documentaries such as The Blue Planet, Africa, The Life Of Mammals, The Life of Birds and Life on Earth.

Australian press have said that Sir David hopes to reschedule his trip Down Under for a series of talks about his life and work when he recovers from surgery.

Australian promoters, Lateral Event Management released a statement that read: “Sir David Attenborough is to undergo surgery in London today following advice from his cardiologist that he is in urgent need of a pacemaker.

“Sir David expressed his extreme disappointment as he said he was very much looking forward to coming back to Australia and he hopes to reschedule his tour in the near future.”

We’re all wishing Sir David a speed recovery here at Pillow Magazine.
