YOU can’t help but marvel at Becky Jones aka Saint Saviour and her musical accolades. The Groove Armada front-woman and co-writer of their highly successful album, Black Light, has gone solo with a delightful debut album and a vast collection of incredible covers leading the Teeside songstress to hit the road this autumn.
Her latest single Tightrope is a confessional heart-wrenching ballad. A small choir and tinkering piano accompany her lonesome vocals at the start which create a wondrous and woeful single released on the 5th of November. It will be her second single to be released from her debut album Union which sees her collaborate with Kissy Sell Out, Punks Jump Up and Maribou State.
Comparisons such as Fever Ray, Goldfrapp, Robyn and Iamamiwhoami, also echo throughout her huge collection of covers on her Soundcloud page.
The video for Tightrope was secretly shot in an abandoned children’s hospital and can be seen below followed by her upcoming tour dates.
