WITH a gin and tonic in hand, looking out over the capital’s horizon at new pop-up bar Sky Lounge, it’s a rare treasure to find a night out in London with a stunning view like this.
Pillow went to check out this new pop-up bar at their launch this week. This new venue is situated on the 32nd floor of the Nido building in the delightfully-named Frying Pan Alley in Spitalfields.
The bar itself is split over two levels, a main level with a bar, lounge areas and a mezzanine level.
It is also an art space showing off portrait and landscape photographer Rich Hendry.
He is currently exhibiting a selection of seascapes, a still-life series of liquids and specially created urban skyline shots, taken from the Nido building itself.
On the shots taken from the building, Hendry says: “I was instantly inspired walking out into this space from the turmoil of the city of London below – up here you can see miles in every direction and seeing the city out of its usual context gives it an overwhelming sense of peace and longevity.”
All works exhibited are for sale and available framed or unframed and prices are between £850 to £1800.
