Muddylicious and Messy: It’s Festival Season!

HERE at Pillow we love a good festival, we love the atmosphere, the music, the inevitable English rain and the inherent competition of who wore the best wellies and mac.

So we thought we’d give you a helping hand to make sure that you stand out in the crowd in something a bit different – from shoes right through to tents!

You can’t go to a festival without camping (go hard or go home say all the best rock n’ rollers) so we’ve found some of the coolest and quirkiest tents around – and we love the range from Field Candy.

You’ll never lose your home from home again with these stand out creations.

There are loads of different designs, but we love the watermelon, book and leopard-print versions.

Now for that all important festival wardrobe, where there’s the dilemma of packing stuff to look good, keep you warm, that you don’t mind getting trashed, but still look the hottest thing on the field.

Footwear is the most vital, it has to be sturdy enough for the metres of mud that will almost definitely be encountered at the festival, yet still look good.

For the wellington boot alternative: The Jelly Doc Marten – super cool, waterproof and in an array of neon colours. We love them! Buy them here.

When in doubt, the staple welly will never go amiss, here are some slightly unusual and cool ones that no one else will have!

There’s always a label lover, and these suit the festival style and satisfy the name-crave! These Hunter wellies at a touch of neon to a classic style. Buy them here.

WELLIES

Footwear sorted, it’s now time for the mac, as much as we’d all love a sunny festival, we’re in Britain and it is going to rain.

For a touch of print, this Brat & Suzie mac adds a touch of chic to a waterproof. Buy it here.

A touch of neon is never a waste, and this mac from Topshop is definitely the way to go. Buy it here.

The next stop is denim, keeping you warm at night and looking cool during the day, it’s always a festival staple.

The dungaree – comfortable, add a top underneath for a warm night, or without for a sexy look during the day. Multipurpose is what we like. Try this one from River Island. Buy it here.

The short – denim doesn’t always have to be blue, and so these rainbow style shorts add a touch of 80s to an outfit! Buy them here.

The jacket – for something a bit more festival-chic than the standard, this purple denim and boyfriend style jacket will be the talk of the tents. Buy them here.

Accessorising up doesn’t have to be a chore when you stick with a few basics; flowers, chains and beads.

A simple body harness can turn a plain tank top into an iconic fashion piece, and this Limited Edition River Island body chain can do just that. Buy it here.

Hair garlands add a touch of femininity and summer no matter what the weather, and this cute daisy chain hair band from New Look is perfect. Buy it here.

Arm candy doesn’t just have to come in the form of a male, with a few bracelets, you won’t need a guy. Buy it here.
