Clean Bandit Confirmed As Tour Support for Disclosure

AFTER being championed by Pillow Magazine (back in Feb 2012) and Radio 1′s Greg James and Huw Stephens, it’s easy to see why Clean Bandit have been hand picked to support electronic duo Disclosure on their upcoming 2013 UK headline tour.

The run of shows will start in Manchester on March 1st where the bands will then move north of the border to Glasgow and then back down to Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, culminating in London.

The band recently released their brand new exceptional single A&E, which was not only given a spot on the Radio 1 playlist but the self-produced official music video made a premiere on Channel 4’s Random Acts, and can be viewed now in all of its glory, below.

The bands multi-instrumentalist, Jack Patterson, said: “The track is called A&E because we were queuing in A&E at the Whittington Hospital when it was written: one of us waiting for a brain scan, another pumping beats through Ableton on his laptop!

“The strings came later. We recorded these in St Etheldreda’s church, Holborn. The two singers on this track are Kandaka Moore and Nikki Marshall. We found them singing as part of local community singing and dancing group next door to our studio in Kilburn and thought they would be perfect for this track.”

He continued: “We made the video ourselves, as always, and after having the idea of the snake about a year ago, it was quite daunting having to make it a reality learning how to use 3D animation software on the hoof.

“The dancers, Rhys Dennis and Kandaka Moore, were great to work with; completely unphased by being painted gold over the course of two hours’ stop frame animation and then flaunting it around London!”
