THE Transcend festival is gearing up to hit St. Giles-in-the-Fields in Camden this weekend, starting on Friday.
Celebrating the culture of one of London’s most eclectic and diverse areas, Transcend will showcase a breadth of talent as well as embracing it’s history – from the gin cellars of the Eighteenth century to the swinging 60′s.
Between the 5th and 7th of July get creative at an Arty Tea Party or go for a David Bowie walking tour which explore’s the musical talent and history of St. Giles.
As well as diving into heritage music, Transcend festival will also host a current line-up including Daytona Lights and The Dash who will be performing at the Phoenix Artist Club.
For something a bit different, enter St. Giles’s churchyard for workshops on Charles Dickens, food stalls and live music.
Renown cartoonist Ralph Steadman will also hosting a book signing in celebration of his exhibition at the Cartoon Museum.
