IT’S traditional in January to make a lot of resolutions that are near impossible to keep.
Ideas such as staying off the wine, putting down the chocolates, getting a fab new job that pays you to travel the world are hard to keep… and a career change that cushty is even harder to come by.
But there are some resolutions that are easier to stick to.
I have always been convinced that the sign of being a true grown-up is having perfectly manicured nails at all times. So, my personal beauty resolution for 2014 is to have groomed nails, no matter what the situation.
And slim-lining your make-up bag is another easy resolution to stick to when you look at these stunning palettes that are available to buy.
Charlotte Tilbury released her first make-up range last year, and so far it has had nothing but GLOWING reviews. Her eyeshadow palette in The Rebel is a stunner and perfect for the ultimate seductive eye.
Japanese brand Suqqu have a gorgeous quad of shimmering smooth brown and bronze shades in silken textures, available from Selfridges. The quality of these shadows is impressive and this hasn’t left my make-up case for many months.
If you want to streamline your handbag even more, a cheek and eyeshadow palette is a great space-saver. The eye and cheek palette by Shu Uemura in Black Enhancement has a blissful range of shadows in green, black, purple and gold. It’s part of their holiday collection in collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami
For those on a budget, eyeshadow palettes don’t have to be expensive and break the bank. Sleek do a range of exceptional palettes which are fantastic quality and cost under a tenner. The Bad Gal combination has some bold colours choices across green, blue purple and black as well as some paler shades to highlight the eyes. Sleek are one of my favourite brands for quality and affordability.
