The Sydney Festival wrapped up last night with Melbourne trio The Suitcase Royale entertaining cheapskates who attended the Spiegeltent after 11.30pm when the entrance fee dropped to zero. The trio played a lusty set of country-blues lined with a gravel voice and driven by a double bass. The Spiegeltent proved the perfect venue for such a retro-chic band filled with whisky tones through a smoky haze. You can listen to the Suitcase Royale on their Myspace page and find out where you can see them at their website here.
