I WAS so curious about this range from classic skincare range Biore featuring cupboard ingredient – baking soda!
The product I just couldn’t wait to try – mainly for the novelty factor – was the baking soda scrub. It’s a powder (powder scrub cleanser?! Who knew!) which you pop on your palm of your hand and mix with water – and it foams up into a mousse-like texture.
This is the first time baking soda has been introduced to the mass beauty market. It’s already known for its cleansing properties (I use it on my bathroom tiles tbh). What will be next? Popping into the kitchen and shoving soy sauce on your face? Getting a bit of ketchup out and dabbing it on your cheeks?
Back the the beauty range. I actually kinda like it! I’m not going to say it’s going to replace my collection of Liz Earle and Melvita exfoliator and cleansers, but you know those days when you just feel like gettig down and dirty and getting your skin really scrubbed clean? This is kinda the right product for this!
The other product from the range I tried was a more traditional liquid pore cleanser which I used in conjunction with the scrub which left my skin nice and squeaky clean.
Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub is £8, and Pore Cleanser is £5 available from Tesco and Superdrug.
