AS if London Fashion Week wasn’t enough excitement to be getting on with, Pantone have announced their Autumn 2013 colour report.

Showcasing the hottest shades, it is aptly named a ‘Palette of Many Hues’.

Ranging from Samba red to Linden Green, and from Vivacious fuchsia to glamorous Carafe brown, colours for Autumn will be wildly varied and a source of endless inspiration.

Speaking of the report, Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute commented: “Just as the leaves change in Autumn, the consumer will enjoy the ability to change their ‘look’…the Fall 2013 palette allows for that versatility and experimentation.”

Our favourites include Vivacious, ‘an unruly and wildly deep fuchsia’. Pink is a strong accent colour for Autumn: bright pinks rocked at Paul Smith and PPQ.

Mykonos Blue, another favourite, is everywhere. Layering cobalt blue in different textures is a hot look for next season.

Pantone’s choices of Emerald and Linden Green echo the green frenzy seen at London Fashion Week. Antipodum and Jonathon Saunders showed layers of softer, light greens. Jewell-like emerald tones shone at L’Wren Scott.

Autumn looks set to be a riot of glorious colour.
