IT was a chilly autumn night in Newcastle when 42 lingerie clad models strutted from the Baltic Art Gallery over the Millennium Bridge. The saucy flash mob at the Turner Prize celebrated the first video advert for luxury lingerie brand Tallulah Love.
Showing true northern stamina mixed with a hint of naughtiness the brave ladies handed out fresh roses while the Beatle’s All You Need Is Love played courtesy of Newcastle based My other Life Band.
While the sight of scantily-clad models surely raised the temperatures of spectators, the models themselves stayed warm with a special winter cocktail, created by John Collingwood of No. 28 Bar.
Pillow Magazine is already a big fan of Tallulah Love’s timeless sex appeal as well as the brand’s effervescent designer Michelle Taylor. And after this display we’re sure her fan base has grown!
Michelle said: “Here at Tallulah Love Luxury Lingerie we are full of mischief and fun and so when we heard that the Turner Prize was in town we decided that we would take this opportunity to shout about what is great about Newcastle and the North East. We knew it was naughty but we hope everyone took it in good spirits!”
The event, now being dubbed, ‘Head Turner Prize’, was organized through word of mouth as well as Facebook and Twitter and showed that style isn’t only confined to London. “There are so many entrepreneurial people up here in the area with a real sense of community and spirit. I am thrilled to say that Fashion and Art are alive and living harmoniously side by side here in Newcastle. We are proud to show the world that Newcastle has some very talented and creative people,” said Michelle.
Starring Burlesque star Frankii Wilde the video advert showcases the “Garden of Delight” lingerie, a vibrant green lace set embellished with vintage-like roses.
