Movies, Beer, Popcorn and the Summer Sun…. Perfect!

QUESTION: what’s better than kicking back with friends, watching a classic movie and scoffing down beer and popcorn? Answer: watching it on a massive screen in a park in central London, obviously. Pop Up Screens returns for another (semi-) glorious British summer with another kick-ass programme. Some of the capital’s finest parks like Fulham, Shepherd’s Bush and Morden will play host to the diverse line-up, which boasts everything from Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan to Priscilla Queen of the Desert. That’s variety. Though half-way through the season, there’s still plenty of good weather and cult favourites (Juno, Pulp Fiction and Wizard of Oz to name a few) to see you through to Autumn. Tickets are £8 per film or £20 a weekend pass. Try it, it’s hard to top the magical feeling of watching the sun go down then the screen light up. 30 August Coram’s Fields, Holborn – V for Vendetta 31 August Coram’s Fields, Holborn – Romeo & Juliet 1 September Coram’s Fields, Holborn – E.T. 6 September Bishops Park, Fulham – Pulp Fiction 7 September Bishops Park, Fulham – Dirty Dancing 8 September Bishops Park, Fulham – This is Spinal Tap 13 September Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith – Fight Club 14 September Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith – Blues Brothers 15 September Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith – Wizard of Oz 20130826-142034.jpg
