WE’ve gone all feather brained here at Pillow Magazine after checking out the menagerie of bird-themed sustainable fashion and furniture at Moorbi.
The site is bursting at the seams with eco-friendly, upcycled and recycled items that are not only good for the environment, but are quirky and different enough to really make an impact style-wise.
Moorbi brings together a host of cutting-edge creatives with one thing in common – their passion for sustainable design.
From jewellery to scarves to cushions and tables, we’ll warn you, it’s easy to lose an hour or two just digging around the site.
The lovebirds upcycled sideboard designed by Lucy Turner is the first item that has us in a flap.
At £1,395 it’s definitely an investment, but it would make an amazing centre piece for a room.
Moorbi also sell fashion and jewellery items and we think these owl earrings are a hoot! (OK we’ll calm down with the puns.)
Designed by Peek A Boo, they’re £18.50 and use upcycled paper as part of the design.
We love this bird necklace designed by Orliotto, made from cherry tree wood.
Flip it over and it’s painted silver, but we like the natural effect. It’s £29.
This side table, created by Couple Of Ideas, features a hand-drawn owl on the top (wow!) and is a one-of-a-kind design.
It’s absolutely amazing and we’ve never seen anything quite like it before.
Price-wise, it’ll set you back £250 but will make a very cool talking point.
