Miles Aldridge’s I Only Want You To Love Me Exhibition to Debut at Somerset House

A SPLASH of colour, a touch of decandence and a hint of despair – This is Miles Aldridge.

For I Only Want You To Love Me – which has an accompanying book published by Rizzolini – Miles has created his largest  exhibition yet, with prints throughout his career some of which previously unseen, offering an intimate insight into the mind of the photographer.

Aldridge’s two obsesions are colour and women; an egg yolk oozing to lips dripping gold – these are just a few – yet if you look more closely, you’ll find a face covered in polythene or a head pushed down to name a few, creating a deeper sense of disturbance and neurosis.

As a fashion photographer he has never kept within a ‘conventional’ style, he is a boundary pusher.  Aldridge’s work has never been constrained by the demands of the fashion world.

For a taste of Aldridge’s intriguing art, the exhibition is being held at Embankment Galleries at Somerset House between July 10th and September 29th. More information here.

If you want more of Miles’ work,  he has a second exhibition entitled Short Breaths at Brancolini Grimaldi.
