WHILE we’re not encouraging shameless ogling of boys and babes with hot, toned bodies… we’re assured that there wil be plenty of eye candy at the English Surfing Championships in Cornwall next month.
This seaside dwelling is hosting the 41st English Surfing Championships from 4 to 6 May 2013.
For the second year in a row the event has been organised by first year Cornwall College Newquay students from the Surf Science and Technology Foundation Degree.
English Surfing Championships
The competition will see surfers returning from Indonesia, Hawaii, Portugal and Ireland where they have been battling waves in extreme conditions.
Current English Ladies Champion Hannah Harding is in Indonesia and will be returning to defend her title.
She will be joined by Johnny Fryer, who won the Open division at last year’s event.
Originally from the Isle of Wight, Cornwall resident Johnny said: “I’m really looking forward to the English. It’s the first competition of the year and it’s always nice to see everyone after a quiet winter.
“I haven’t been away this winter, but I have been surfing loads and am feeling good. The waves have been really decent recently, so with a bit of luck that will continue for the contest weekend.”
