AS blooms were being bargained over bright and early this morning, rockabilly group Franky And The Jacks were busting out some unbelievably good tunes for the crowd at Columbia Road Flower Market to boogie along to. The group, whose motto is “Make ’em dance”, consists of Franky Doody on lead vocals and guitar; John Beale on vocals and violin; Sax McGuinness on vocals and harmonica; and Tom Rosenfeld on vocals and double bass. If you like what you hear, next month you can catch them at East London haunt Passing Clouds, 1 Richmond Road, E8 4AA. On Friday 11th May, the band are joined by Zen Hussies, DJ Money Shot, Madam Electrifie and more. It’ll cost you under a tenner and it’s open till 3am. For more info check out their Facebook page.
