Yayoi Kusama at the Tate Modern

By REBECCA CHRISTOU

YAYOI Kusama is Japan’s most prominent female contemporary artist. Renowned for her unmissable repeating dot patterns, she has been living voluntarily in a psychiatric institution since 1977, and her experiences have influenced her work.

Her obsessiveness is clear in many of her works, which feature endless circles and mirror images.

This exhibition is the largest of Kusama’s to be held in the UK and is both a treat for those who are already fans and a great opportunity for new ones, too.

Tickets can be purchased online via the Tate Modern‘s website, and the exhibition is on now.
