WHEN talking pop culture, zombies are the new vampires – a fact to be consolidated with the release of World War Z.
As a zombie pandemic ravages the globe, United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) travels the world trying to find a way to stop the pandemic that is defeating armies and collapsing governments as they try to prevent social collapse.
The flick was slated for release in December this year, but it’s been pushed back to June 2013.
In June, the cast and crew were hauled off to Budapest for re-shooting. Two new writers were hired to re-work the third act.
Could all this mean that the film is going to be disappointing and bomb? After a slew of under-whelming science-fiction films (Star Wars episode 1-3, Prometheus etc) we really hope not!
