PAN’S Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro has confirmed that he is working on DC Comics film Dark Universe.
The movie will features the mystical heroes of the DC Universe including Swamp Thing, The Demon, John Constantine, Deadman, The Spectre, Zatara and Zatanna.
Del Toro said: “I’m writing the outline and we’re already in talks with a writer. A very, very good writer.
“People are probably going to be happy with who we have chosen. He accepted. I’ve been courting this writer, who I think is the perfect guy for this job. We’re doing it. Hopefully it will happen.”
The Mexican film-maker also revealed that he was approached to direct Star Wars: Episode 7.
He said: ”We got one phone call to my agent saying, ‘Is Guillermo interested?’ And basically I have so much stuff already of my own, and I’m pursuing stuff that I’m generating already.”
“It was just a phone call, it didn’t go past that, it was very nice to be asked, but believe it or not, I’m busy enough.”
