EVERY night in winter I look forward to a glass of wine and a candlelit hot bath.
Whether or not I get around to doing it, it remains one of my favourite ways to relax when the temperatures outside are chilly. It’s such a cheap and easy pick me up after a long day at the office.
Aromatherapy Associates, one of my favourite brands, has a new Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil that you can drop into the bath that makes your skin feel sumptuous but also carries its scent on the steam and makes the whole bathroom smell wonderfully. Trust me, it is HEAVENLY.
It says it is a bath and shower oil, but I tried rubbing it onto my skin and then showering and it just didn’t have the same effect. There’s not enough product in the gorgeous, luxe glass bottle to warrant wasting it on this way. Don’t do it!
It also makes a great massage oil if your boyfriend happens to be asking for a back massage. But don’t use too much – it’s too precious! I used a few capfuls and then switched to a cheaper moisturiser as a substitute (and the aromatherapy scent permeates the room anyway).
