Brat & Suzie Enter The Dragons’ Den

PILLOW’S favourite t-shirt label Brat & Suzie just rocked it on Dragons’ Den with a pitch for their super cute London-based fashion label. Twins Polly and Charlotte Vickery launched the brand – named after the cats they had as children – in 2009 and were looking for investment to expand their range to include denim, outerwear and accessories in the future. The Dragons – Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis, Duncan Bannatyne, Deborah Meaden and Hilary Devey (her of the huuuge shoulder pads) – totally missed a trick by not investing in the gorgeous label as the girls are destined to be HUGE. The website crashed as the girls made their TV debut and their Facebook page was inundated with requests for orders. Their line of animal-print jersey pieces are perfect for festivals (and it’s Bestival next week, remember?) and their sweet as cupcakes sweaters are a no-brainer for the impending autumn weather. In the Den, the girls gave each Dragon a piece from the range that they felt summed up their personality. They gave Peter Jones a tee with a picture of a pig on it, as the girls said – it was “rock n’ roll”. The fearsome fivesome with the megabucks to invest didn’t hand over any cold, hard cash as they all felt that the fashion industry was too “high-risk”. But all the Dragons agreed that the siblings have a long future in fashion ahead of them. Hilary said: “You are clearly very, very talented.” And Peter agreed: “All five of us really liked them.” Wonder how long it’ll be before Deb’ and Hil’ are logging on to Brat & Suzie and placing a few orders of their own…… Pillow Magazine readers can receive 10% off at the checkout – just enter ‘dragon’ to score your discount!  Brat & Suzie   Brat & Suzie
